“ As others said, the place is very cosy. We sat outside and it felt like being in someone’s backyard. The food was great, I had a lemon chicken and a date and cinnamon cake with 1 cantaloupe ice cream scoop. Delicious! The service was also amazing, very respectful and helpful. Would definitely come back! ”
“ Amazing place! The personnel is so friendly and welcoming. The home-made drinks are delicious. The food is a delight, and it's nothing like you normally find in the standard restaurant menus: a trip through the multi-cultural, traditional dishes from the region. And to top it off, the sour cherry cake. Also: pet friendly! Even the local cat, Flăcărica, got along well with my dog. ”
“ Mixed feelings after firstly visiting this place. Although, due to how hungry I was, I ate the whole portion - Kotopoulo Lemonato - I didn't feel well after the meal because I kept thinking about the feather I found in it (visible in the attached picture of this dish). Even if I felt nauseous for hours, I gave the place a second shot as I was unable to find many restaurants with great food in the area, and the Kotopoulo Lemonato actually tasted good. The following visits were great, no visible unpleasant surprises. The lamb chop with garlic, rosemary and mustard seed sauce was flavourful and well cooked. Still, while I enjoyed it once, it wasn't remarkable enough to make me want to order it again. My dining partner was satisfied with the experience and said they'd gladly reorder: the rib-eye with parmesan garlic potatoes and the fresh pasta with mussles and shrimp. I must mention I was delighted by Constanta's old style street food: Suberek. Also, the Neoneaosh cocktail is a must try. ”
“ This place is absolutely amazing! The outdoor seating feels just like being in a private home garden – so cozy, relaxing, and beautifully set up. The service is excellent: warm, attentive, and professional without ever being intrusive. The food is outstanding, honestly some of the best-tasting dishes I’ve had anywhere – every plate full of flavor and prepared with real care. On top of that, the music creates such a great atmosphere, perfectly matching the vibe. All in all, it’s the kind of spot where you instantly feel comfortable and special at the same time. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to again and again! ”
“ We have been coming to Popina for a few years, and they have kept the quality at the same level. It’s a very interesting cuisine, a mix of romanian, oriental, greek &co cuisine. Think, reinvented balkan and oriental cuisine. We loved their greek ciorba and the dessert with cardamon ice cream is a must! ”
